Respecting staff confidentiality

Privacy & survey information

Your voice. Not your identity. Protecting staff confidentiality is our highest operational priority.

Jet2 Don't Care is an independent, unofficial parody and staff-feedback initiative. It is not operated by, affiliated with or endorsed by Jet2.

Protect your anonymity

DO NOT include names, employee numbers, flight numbers, aircraft registrations, flight dates, rosters, contact details or anything that could identify you or another person.

Avoid unique incidents, precise locations and unusual circumstances that could reveal someone's identity. Keep feedback general, factual and non-identifying.

We cannot guarantee absolute anonymity. We minimise identifying information, but submitted details and technical connection records may still identify someone.

What surveys ask

Our voluntary surveys ask about workplace sentiment and experiences. Answers may include ratings, choices and written feedback. Department and work base are optional. We do not request names, email addresses, employee numbers or other personal contact details.

What we store

The survey database stores answers, optional department and base, written responses if supplied, and the response month. Newer responses also have a calendar day, not an exact submission time, so we can produce rolling seven-day and 28-day Pulse results. Older responses may have month-only data.

The survey system is designed not to attach IP addresses or browser identifiers to answers. An essential temporary session cookie supports form security and helps reduce accidental repeat submissions. A shared Staff Portal access code does not verify employment and may be forwarded.

Login security, Turnstile and provider logs

To protect the Staff Portal and administrator login pages, we use hidden anti-bot fields, rate limiting and Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile processes technical security signals, which can include connection IP addresses and browser information. See the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

For login protection, we temporarily store keyed digests derived from a connection IP address, login area and failed-attempt or lockout data. These are separate from survey answers, do not contain the raw IP address, and are normally pruned within approximately two days. A series of failed logins or bot-like input can cause a 24-hour lockout.

Our hosting provider's standard website access logs may contain a visitor IP address, exact request time, browser information and the page or form endpoint requested. Based on the hosting retention information available to us, ordinary access logs are retained for around one day. This is separate from our survey records. Other security logs and backups may have different retention periods.

Cloudflare and our hosting provider may process technical information under their own service and security arrangements. A seven-day Turnstile Analytics lookback is not a promise that Cloudflare deletes all technical data after seven days. We do not use third-party advertising or behavioural analytics trackers.

How feedback is used and protected

We use feedback to understand staff experiences, morale and recurring themes, and may share aggregated summaries with staff and company leadership. Small-group figures are withheld or combined when necessary; comparisons may also be withheld where they could reveal an individual.

Individual written submissions are restricted to authorised administration. Raw comments are not automatically published or included in reports. Before using written feedback in reports, we review it and may redact, summarise or omit material that could identify somebody.

Reports are based on voluntary, self-selected responses and do not necessarily represent the whole workforce. We do not sell survey data or use it for advertising.

Sensitive information and urgent concerns

Please do not include health details, trade union membership, disciplinary information, allegations about named individuals or other sensitive personal information. If such information is submitted, it may be removed or excluded from reporting.

This website is not a confidential aviation-safety reporting, emergency or formal grievance service. Urgent safety concerns should use your employer's appropriate safety channels or the relevant official reporting route.

Retention and backups

Our intended retention limit for individual survey answers and free-text feedback is 18 months. An automated deletion process is being implemented to enforce this period; we do not describe it as already operational. Effectively anonymised aggregate statistics may be kept longer if they do not identify individuals.

Our host's standard customer-facing backup rotation is up to 14 days. Additional disaster-recovery snapshots may have different, currently unconfirmed retention periods. Deleted records can therefore remain in protected backup copies for a limited time after removal from the active database.

Privacy questions and rights

If information we process is personal data, applicable UK data protection rights may include access, correction, erasure, restriction and objection, subject to the circumstances and legal exemptions. Because our surveys deliberately do not collect identifying contact information, we may be unable to identify or retrieve a particular submission. We will not require respondents to provide identifying details simply to participate.

For privacy enquiries, contact [email protected]. You can also raise data protection concerns with the Information Commissioner's Office.

Our commitment

We want your opinions, not your identity. We aim to collect the minimum information needed, protect responses, and avoid publishing material that could identify contributors or colleagues. Please help protect yourself and others by keeping your submissions non-identifying.
